NA506 - Marching Foot Dragoon Drummer
As was the military tradition during the Napoleonic Wars all drummers and buglers in most French Regiments had their uniform coolers reversed in order that they could be seen more easily amidst the smoke and confusion of battle.
This Foot Dragoon Drummer wears a bold, red tunic together with green facings, on his head the regular brass helmet but with a pure white horse hair crest in order to create extra visibility on the battle field.
